Thursday 5th - Our first Monthly Social evening of 2012. 7.30 pm onwards.
February
Thursday 2nd - Social evening, Egg Show and Talk by Rachel Seymour.
We are delighted to announce that Rachel Seymour, a top egg exhibitor, will be giving a talk to Luton & District Poultry Club members on the finer points of eggs and egg showing with an opportunity to ask Rachel questions.
This is a fantastic opportunity, for both experienced and novice exhibitors of eggs, to learn more on what the judges are looking for in the perfect egg and how to exhibit a winner!
To add to the excitement, we are having our own little egg show. Members can exhibit eggs laid by their own birds or shop bought ones (if your birds are not laying).

Thursday 1st - Members Evening Fun Box Show at Flamstead Village Hall. Judge Mrs Chris Balaam.

The rules-
Six randomly selected birds will be presented in show cages to the judge at one time. The judge will judge the birds on overall fitness and true to type. The best three birds will remain in the pens and another three birds put in and judged against these, and so on, until all birds have been presented and judged. It does not matter if your bird is a cross breed or pure breed so long as it is presented well and looks healthy. A pretty hybrid may go a long way!
So come on have a go, it’s just for fun!
Please bring some food and drink for a buffet if you can.
Saturday 3rd - TC Feeds, Dovehouse Farm, Kensworth, Poultry day. Talks by Andy Marshall, Poultry related stands etc. Luton & District Poultry Club will be there.
